El Gouna

Located north of Hurghada, El Gouna is completely man-made resort on privately owned land with security gates and a checkpoint. The resort has sprung up from flat, marshy sand spits and lagoons with a lush 18 hole golf course at it’s centre. Properties are well spaced and in a variety of low-rise styles, creating an attractive ‘village’ with downtown shops and bars, charming bridges, mature landscaping and a good, well-signposted road network.

El Gouna is about 15 miles north of Hurghada International Airport. The airport provides links with several European capitals and the flying time from the UK is around 5 hours. Within the resort, El Gouna offers a variety of transportation options from regular shuttle buses and taxi boats to limousines or if you prefer, you can make your way round on foot. Weekly passes are available for the shuttle buses at incredibly reasonable rates.

El Gouna is a stunning resort which suits couples and honeymooners looking for a quiet holiday away from it all. Families are also welcomed and there is a wide range of activities and services available for children. The golf course also attracts people looking to spend time on the fairway.
