Taba and Taba Heights

The area of Taba is in the north east of the Sinai next to the Egypt-Israel border. The Israeli resort of Eilat is located across the border. The town has grown up around the border crossing and will be enhanced as the new tourist development at Taba Heights gathers momentum.

As a former Bedouin village, there isn’t really much in the way of a transport infrastructure. The airport has recently been upgraded and charter flights from the UK and other European countries provide direct connections for holiday makers. The airport is located on the Sinai plateau some 20 miles from Taba. Taba is also the only land border crossing for tourists want to move between Egypt and Israel by car and on foot. The Israeli resort of Eilat lies on the other side of the border.

Taba Heights

Taba Heights is a picturesque resort located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Sinai with a backdrop of breathtaking mountains, wild desert and an inviting sea.

Taba and Taba Heights is ideal for those looking to relax surrounded by spectacular scenery. As with all Red Sea resorts, scuba diving is available or you may prefer a round or two on Taba Heights’ 18 hole championship golf course. It is also an excellent base for visitors who want to explore the sights of the region; Petra, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, St Catherine’s Monastery and Mount Sinai.
